I try to capture the beauty of the natural world in my landscape and still life paintings. I find still life paintings to be my absolute favorite to paint. I’m captivated by the challenge of getting the light just right— how it illuminates, wraps around, and glows through things that aren’t completely transparent, like leaves, an onion’s skin, or a slice of fruit.
I’m always drawn to painting the beautiful landscapes of Connecticut. Whether it’s the shoreline, a serene lake or river, expansive fields, or a winding path through the woods, nature has always been a source of inspiration for me.
I've been painting and drawing since I was a child. This portfolio includes my work over many years, from work I did in my teens to my current work. Both of my parents were artists. My father is a sculptor and my mother was a painter, so I was encouraged at an early age to hone my skills. That is a never ending process as I continue to learn from other artists.
